Public events at local level in the form of workshops and seminars are organised with the participation of domain experts from within and outside the consortium.
Six of those public workshops will take place in combination with the consortium meetings, namely:

- Massa Public Workshop 16th of November 2007
In the context Lexipation Project’s dissemination strategy Massa, the administrative centre of the province of Massa, held a workshop in the context of Dire&Fare 2007 the leading Italian exhibition of Innovation in Public Administration on the 16th of November. Francesco Molinary presented there the Lexipation project on the sector of e-participation of Dire&Fare 2007.
- Thessaloniki Public Workshop 5th of October 2007
In the context of the public workshop for the Lexipation Project that took place at ALTEC’s meeting room in Thessaloniki on the 5th of October, the Prefectural Authority of Thessaloniki opened the discussion about their trial of the public electronic consultation where they had set a few questions regarding the management of the ecosystems of lakes Koroneia and Volvi, of the Mygdonia basin, aiming to awaken the citizens in favor of the environment and to define a management policy for ecosystem that will be publicly accepted.

- Alston Public Workshop 6th of July 2007
As part of the Lexipation project, this workshop took place in the community of Alston, England. It focused on the case of the public involvement on aspects of legislation and how effective is to the quality of these pieces.
Participant’s of the event welcomed by the Councillor Richard Turner, e-champion for Eden District Council. All the members of the workshop shared their experiences on e-participation and described how Lexipation platform can improve each country’s Legislation.
Daniel Heery & Sue Gilbertson, Cybermoor Services Ltd explained according to their experience in trying to manage a site, the resource limitations that are needed.
Francesco Molinari, Altec SA and representing Communie di Massa in Italy, highlighted a report about local people getting a say in how councils spend their money.
Rolf Leuhrs, TuTech Innovation GmbH in Hamburg, introduced some of the urban experiences of online consultations.
Seth Gibson, Citizens Advice Bureau focused on delivery of information to groups in rural areas.
Rabea Iatridou, representative of the Prefecture of Thessaloniki, carried out a consultation on how farmers and fishermen make use of Lake Koronia and she explained how the Prefecture without having legislative powers, can influence local councils.
Jeff Tweddle, Northumberland Strategic Partnership, who manages rural voices websites expresses his interest in online consultations with Lexipation.
Finally, Francesco Molinari described the Lexipation project which was supporting the workshop stressing that the most important aspect, the social involvement to Legislation.
- Hamburg Public Workshop 10th of May 2007
The first of a series of workshops that are planned by the LEXIPATION project was held in Hamburg, with the aim of project, its framework and approach and eliciting additional involvement to a wider public audience.
The pilot in Hamburg was presented that will facilitate a local discussion that will start on 29. May and end at 14. June, on the topic of spatial planning and urban development. The moderated online discussion will be used to generate new ideas and work out suitable concepts for the renewal of a central public space with cultural-historical importance in the inner city of Hamburg (Domplatz) in cooperation with the citizens. In different forums and sub forums the citizens of Hamburg can discuss their ideas and develop specific draft concepts in cooperation with other participants. Additionally, several technical functions will be offered to the participants to create individual architectural layouts by help of the feature “my Domplatz”.
